I’m coming in a bit late here, but I just had to say that this is the funniest post I’ve seen all week. Unfortunately, this kind of situation isn’t at all atypical. There are the climate conventions where people burn N thousand tons of jet fuel just to talk about rising CO2 levels.

Usability is a broad and subjective term. Unless it is defined in concrete terms or if there is a standard, then it simply derives to a bunch of opinions. e.g. minimizing clicks to reach a certain page would be a concrete usability point. Saying the navigation is hard to use is meaningless.

I think SEO and usability need to go hand in hand. SEO can get you great listings but without usability people will click away from the site.

Yes Mike, indeed it’s even more lucrative than SEO in many cases it seems. Also this day has been celebrated all over the world. Usability is actually bigger than SEO in some respects.

WOW…Some awesome observations Tad! To be honest, I did not realize “usability” was an actual profession. I suppose I can see a need for them though, however, they should be able to practice what they preach…just like us SEO’s.
