There have been countless search engines and this is Googles Era but I am sure that the next big thing is on the horizon. Search results are pretty good in Google although there is a lot of room for improvement and let’s face it Googles main money maker, Adwords, is the driving force behind creating a “good product”. Unfortunately capitalism seems to always prevail over good! Just look at Youtube after it was acquired by Google, now I can’t even watch a 3min video without a 2 minute commercial! And I thought TV was bad.

I think that if you are pragmatically cynical and follow the money you can always guess the intentions of large companies including Googles. Generally if you look a few years back, you generally see the clues to what is live today. There are always exceptions.

Is there a non-profit org or govt agency that can actually understand this and create safegaurds?
