Not for my site. My site still have many traffic from google. Well If I notice. Link is very useful. but not to bring traffic. but to invite crawler to index all my page. More page being indexed, More traffic I got.

This is really amazing to me. So many stumbleupon referrals as opposed to google organic ones!

I agree whole heartly that traffic is more important then links. One thing that links get you is relevancy and that gives you better spot in search results. So if you stop updating your content you stop getting big social media traffic and you rely only on your search engine results.

[...] Stop Link Building, Links != Traffic by Tad Chef Do you think that link building is the most important part of SEO nowadays? You may be right if you refer to SEO as search engine optimization for Google. In this SEO world you get your links, Google assesses them and sends you traffic after a while if all of your site is optimized and you target the right keywords. [...]

Hey Andrew, I reviewed you already twice, din't you get any traffic? Probably SU half banned me as too many SEO haters thumbed me down.
I'm kind of fed up with SU already, read this post:
http://seo2.0.onreact.com/3-stumbleupon-traffic-myths-debunked

I guess I'll return eventually, as I can't live without social media.

Hey Tad,

Just stumbled across this post and liked it a lot. BTW when are you going to take me up on my offer to go head to head with Andy Beard to drive traffic to my site from SU? :)

Funny how I browsed a friend who uses StumbleUpon and found this site. Usually my friends find the good stuff. Google just shows me who's optimized it better but not necessarily what I would want. SU is a great service that I wished I had learned about a year ago.

No matter. I liked your write up. Good stuff.
