You just blew my mind with that analogy. We are in fact all white hats with a black ring. There is no way to really know what tomorrow will bring. Link building (if I dare say) is quite a touchy topic. Luckily things are gearing more towards social media optimization, so even if link building methods become extinct, something else will pop up. That’s my honest opinion.

Have always thought the comic ‘Spy vs. Spy’ is a good mataphor for White vs Black Hat SEO. They wear Panama hats too.

Seems the SEO portion dropped out of the comments. Was an interesting article though. Black, white or Panama, isn’t the bottom line all about getting backlinks? And the arguments will go on forever as to the purity and cleanliness of those backlinks, regardless of the labeling.
