I recon most subscribers of a blog use it with Yahoo pipes anyway.. plus there’s alot of scrapers out there – i’m wondering whether or not to do away with my rss’s

Great post – note, a good contrast to observe is the number of subscribers ~ feed-hits divided by comments per post… this is one variable of user-engagement profiling.

Thanks for that. Feedburner’s stats are something I’m struggling to “get” – possibly because of the inconsistencies you mention. Google Analytics seem much more intuitive and useful. I wish they would transfer some of that usability over to FB!

Feedburner stats were bull. Like you say, they bounce up and down continually during the week and at weekends. But, I think GoogleFB have tightened up lately as I’ve not noticed any drops on my count for more than a week now. I’ll be following up my Feedburner Myth post on Sciencetext soon, with some analysis of the rises and falls.
