I must say, this is a very good post about blog comments, and hey, the comments from this blog about blog commenting is about blog commenting:)
No joke, I believe blog commenting to be very important to seo, although to be honest I couldn’t be bothered with it, but now I’m getting into it and learning a lot from others as well. I’ll be using this post as a guideline from now on, great work indeed.

Nice post, I read plenty of blogs and comment daily on web design related stuff. I’ve always found it a bit of a shame that the huge majority force a nofollow on to their links as I’m a genuine reader and member of the design community. Backlinks generated from my blog commenting would be an accurate measure of my involvement in that community and any increase in search index ranking, I beleive, would be justified.
