John Chow interviews are seemingly rare. At first I thought there are many of them, as 2 results of the top 5 for John Chow in Google are interviews but it’s not the case. Finally I found overall 5 interviews with him, one especially interesting dating as far back as 1999!
Many people apparently envy John Chow or hate him for other reasons, as if being successful is an offense, so in one of the interviews he has to explain why he was banned at Digg. As we know by now he also has been manually downranked at Google which to me shows that Google gets away with murder. I had to resort to Yahoo to find relevant results. Also if you need an alternative search engine that does not censor John Chow for being too successful try my favourite one: Lexxe.
Why did I look for a John Chow interview or his name in the first place? Of course I had sinister motives. Like in my post where I revealed John Chow’s success recipe I wanted to learn how to conquer the world, of course to outsmart him.
At first I aim to outrank him for his own name at Google, which is not really difficult as he changed his blog title to a randomized one. Even before that he ranked at the lower end of the top 50 at Google.com for his own name. That’s that.
My favorite quote by John Chow is this one from the one and only audio interview with him:

I want you to check out the interviews yourself of course. Two of them deal mainly with John’s other success story beside his blog, his Tech Zone site. A website which longevity in this online business is astonishing by itself. Study the world domination methods yourself, but don’t commit the same mistakes. Tad Chef won’t be banned at Digg, I do not want to offer my content to those damn SEO haters. Google problems? SEO 2.0 is not optimized for Google. Why should I bother? I get 20 visitors via Google daily and 200 to 2000 via StumbleUpon and it’s awesome community alone. I don’t care for robots, I love humans!
The first lesson of the John Chow Google censorship farce is: Do not rely on Google for traffic, relevant results and advertising. Google treats you like shit whenever it wants.
