    Amazing tips mate. Though over two years old, these will never die. I love the idea of linkbaiting though. I remember having used a very very catchy title and delivered something less expected in the content just as an experiment, after some social bookmarking, this post fetched me 400+ hits and 2 comments by furious readers :D

    yes indeed, when I updated this post in August all I needed to do was replacing some of the links that served as examples as they were brokne by now, everthing else was still valid.
